Your Role as a Senior Technical Consultant

  • Apply RPAS technical expertise across the range of Oracle Retail Planning & Optimization solutions
  • Participate in design workshops to gather technical specifications for solution configuration
  • Collaborate with functional lead on solution architecture and design components
  • Create technical specification document that outlines required data inputs to support the solution design.
  • Configure and test the solution leveraging RPAS configuration tools.
  • Support all testing phases, cutover planning and production deployment
  • Provide post go-live coverage to business and IT stakeholders
  • Follow standard practices and procedures to analyze situations, data and deliver technical solutions on applications and technology installations
  • Continuously develop depth and breadth of Retail domain knowledge
  • Contribute to your practice area through identification and creation of implementation focused deliverables
  • Leverage and enhance existing business processes to implement Retail Solutions
  • Facilitate the logging, reporting and resolution of product related issues
  • Complete required weekly administrative tasks including, individual status report and time and expense entry
  • Work with Oracle Retail to address defects and understand upcoming solutions and features
  • Form lasting professional relationships with key technical resources on client side
  • Work directly with users to understand issues, new requirements, recommend solutions

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field
  • 6 - 8 years of experience in Oracle Retail RPAS solutions v.13 & above
  • 6 years of experience in Oracle Retail RPAS Configuration Tools & batch components
  • 6 years of experience at a retailer or in a client-facing retail consulting role
  • 2 - 4 Oracle Retail RPAS end-to-end implementations
  • Experience across the Oracle Retail suite including at least two of the following:
    • Retail Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP)
    • Retail Assortment Planning (AP)
    • Retail Item Planning (IP)
    • Retail Demand Forecasting (RDF)

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Retail planning solutions
  • Oracle Retail Cloud Suite planning experience
  • Oracle Retail RPAS Configuration Tools
  • Strong communication and personal skills
  • Very strong technical skills in Unix Shell Scripting, Unix Navigation, Weblogic, & batch scheduler tools
  • Understanding of RPAS functions and best practices as for:
    • MFP (Merchandise Financial Planning)
    • AP/IP (Assortment & Item Planning)
    • RDF (Retail Demand Forecasting)
  • Understanding of architecture and ability to build desired solution design using Oracle configuration tools according to defined specifications
  • Ability to train Users IT and business team on RPAS
  • Self-motivated, tenacious with an entrepreneurial approach
  • Effective written and verbal communications to work collaboratively with project and practice teams and client stakeholders
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive nature and high attention to detail and ability to work as a team-player
