Practice Director
Summary
Reporting to a Managing Director, the Practice Director at Logic is responsible for leading a practice team in executing the strategy for how our Oracle Retail solutions are implemented. This role will have additional responsibilities in the areas of consulting team composition, consultant deployment on projects, consultant development and Practice performance. The Practice Director will collaborate with senior management peers in pre-sales efforts, talent management, resource deployment, and in Finance in relation to the Practice performance. The Practice Director will be a senior member of client delivery project teams and strive to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Logic utilizes ‘The Seven Principles of Professional Services’ throughout the organization. The Practice Director is required to be an ambassador for this initiative and actively demonstrate an understanding of the principles in their daily duties.
Responsibilities
Practice Responsibilities:
· Using existing market experience and Logic’s strategic direction, will lead the Practice in determining needs for implementation solutions for our retail clients.
· Understand our client business drivers and strategic business vision and be able to articulate how our solutions meet client business objectives.
· Ensure Logic solutions are flexible to meet all retail verticals, efficient in terms of speed to deployment, and demonstrate acceptable levels of implementation risk for our clients.
· Lead the development of implementation collateral used by our project teams and make sure that our deployment methodologies are followed at all times.
· As a senior member of the Practice team, play a leadership role on client engagements in various capacities.
· Directly or in-directly support pre-sales efforts which includes proposal development and on-site sales presentations.
· Work with the Managing Director, Business Development and Talent Management to ensure the Practice team is fully equipped to meet current and future practice demands.
· Identify internal Practice initiatives that keep our solutions ahead of market competition
· May represent the Practice in consultant deployment discussions on both external and internal project work.
· Demonstrate awareness of business performance metrics at Practice level. Work with Managing Director to meet targets. E.G. Utilization, Margin, Attrition
 
 
Team Responsibilities
 
· Foster growth across the team, and demonstrate a grow from within approach where possible and practical
· Leveraging the performance management structure and processes, the Practice Director will actively assist in managing the career paths of the consultants in the Practice team in conjunction with the Performance Managers.
· Identify training and development opportunities for consultants and collaborate with talent management to create individual development plans.
· Assist in recruiting the best candidates in the market for Logic.
 
Project and Client Responsibilities
 
· Develop strong client relationships at project level by demonstrating thought leadership and a commitment to client success
· Coach and direct project team members, including client resources, in the adoption of standard Logic methodology processes and Retail Leading Practices
· Provide mentoring to project team members on an as required basis
· Working with the Logic Engagement Leadership, identify opportunities to sell additional consulting services at existing clients
· Identify project skill requirements and work with Resourcing and Talent Management team to identify resources, and manage their integration into the team along with any schedule changes.
 
Desired Qualification
 
· Extensive experience in the implementation of Oracle Retail software applications – ideally 10+ years
· Participation on 3 full-cycle Oracle Retail projects
· At least 5 years’ experience in a relevant practice domain in either functional or technical roles
· Strong verbal communication skills, including interviewing, selling, influencing, negotiating, and collaborating.
· Ability to handle public communication and consensus building.
· Ability to facilitate team and client meetings effectively.
· Ability to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
· Genuine interest in mentoring junior staff.
· Readiness to travel up to 80%
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
· Targeted utilization for this the practice is 80%.
