The Solutions Director is responsible for defining and executing on the solution strategy, promotion and forecasting of demand in their solution area.  The Solutions Director will have a focus area in  Commerce including POS, Loyalty, Omnichannel, and Store Technologies.

The Solutions Director will use their retail solution expertise to provide product-level experience, strategic direction and guidance to the Sales Team and clients before and during the pre-sales process.  They will also work with their software manufacturer counterparts to analyze and integrate the market demand into a forecast.  The Solutions Director will contribute to Logic’s global business goals by supporting solution expertise and pre-sales support to all regions.

Primary Responsibilities

Solution Market Strategy Responsibilities:
  • Lead the definition and development of Logic’s go-to-market strategy and the core positioning/messaging for their solution area. 
  • For each solution, identify the baseline implementation timeline and associated resource cost to promote consistent delivery of services that meet client business expectations and help fulfill Logic’s obligations
  • Define Logic’s market for their solution area to include the following:
    • Software vendor-led Logic led sales
    • Existing and new clients for upgrade opportunities
    • Existing products and new product offerings
  • Develop the solution level forecasts by global region.
  • Lead the preparation, communication, deployment, and monitoring of the go-to-market strategy for the solution area
  • Author key product-related assets and educate key stakeholders (e.g. sales, delivery)
    • Sales and Marketing related assets as requested
    • Product-related white papers and strategy presentations
  • Act as the primary resource for market analysis and industry trends and understand software partner go-to-market strategy and tactics
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on go-to-market options
  • Outline overall go-to-market strategy and communicate to stakeholders
  • Solicit feedback from stakeholders as appropriate
Client Pre-Sales and Business Development Responsibilities: (#1 Priority)
  • Work closely with retail business/functional SME to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Participate as a Subject Matter Expert with clients during the pre-sales process by providing solution expertise.
  • Be involved in the sales process to ensure client commitments are understood, documented and communicated for successful preparation of bid materials.
  • Lead the content development for the delivery approach, messaging and resource estimation of solutions in the pre-sales process
  • Assist in the creation of Request for Proposal (RFP), Client “First Contact” Sales Decks and Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Estimate solution skill requirements and coordinate timing through the delivery management team to identify appropriate resources.
  • Coordination with the delivery management team to ensure alignment to Delivery capabilities
  • Coordination with other Solution Management and Account Management resources as needed
Project Delivery Responsibilities:
  • Participate as a Subject Matter Expert with clients to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales process to kick off the project.
  • Provide project team and client with knowledge transfer from pre-sales process
  • Provide strategic subject matter expertise to clients as needed
People/ Practice Management Responsibilities:
  • Assist developing consultants with the capability to provide supporting roles to the solution delivery areas
  • Assist in the recruitment of staff as needed


  • At least 15 years’ experience in retail
  • At least 7 years’ experience in Retail Applications in solution area
  • Experience in formulating and communicating retail IT and/or business operations strategy at an executive level
  • Ability to organize effective oral and written presentations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Ability to analyze client needs accurately
  • Ability to assist sales to articulate the value proposition and sales closure
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments  
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required- IT discipline preferred
  • Readiness to travel up to 50% -both domestically and globally
